About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Technical Writer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical equipment technical writing, with the ability to create clear and concise documentation for a variety of audiences. This role requires excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts to produce high-quality technical materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit user manuals, guides, and other technical documentation.
• Conduct thorough research to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into easily understandable content.
• Utilize tools such as Visio for creating diagrams and flowcharts that enhance documentation clarity.
• Proofread and review documents for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.
• Maintain and update existing documentation as needed to reflect changes in products or processes.
• Communicate effectively with team members to gather feedback and improve documentation quality.

Requirements

• Proficiency in technical writing with a strong portfolio of previous work.
• Experience with diagramming tools.
• Strong word processing skills with an emphasis on editing and formatting documents.
• Excellent research abilities to gather information from various sources effectively.
• Meticulous proofreading skills to ensure error-free documentation.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Technical writing: 4 years (Preferred)
• Medical equipment: 2 years (Preferred)
• CAD Drawing reading - Required
