About The Position
As a Summer Analyst on Susquehanna's Equity Research team, you will be partnered with our senior analysts and traders to assist in identifying investment opportunities in the equity and options markets. This role is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the financial markets through hands-on experience and classroom education. You will learn to perform in-depth company analysis around future catalyst events and provide real-time opinions on breaking news throughout the trading day. Your responsibilities will include tracking company news and events, assisting with valuation work, and engaging in other event-driven projects. The ten-week summer internship program introduces you to our unique approach to research, combining work on a trading desk with classroom study in options theory basics. As a Summer Equity Analyst, you will be placed on a sector-focused team and work directly on the trading floor. This program serves as our primary source for hiring full-time Equity Analysts, emphasizing our commitment to education and development. You will experience this dedication firsthand as you collaborate with research analysts and traders to understand how analyst opinions impact trading decisions. Additionally, you will participate in classroom education where you will learn about options and the decision-making strategies employed by our traders. This role provides a unique opportunity to blend the quantitative aspects of finance with creative problem-solving to develop trade ideas in a fast-paced proprietary trading environment.
