About the position

BlackRock is seeking a Vice President for Equity Private Markets (EPM) Commercial Narrative Marketing in New York. This role focuses on developing and delivering the marketing strategy for EPM, which includes private equity, secondaries, and real estate equity. The successful candidate will be an excellent storyteller responsible for enhancing the EPM brand and positioning BlackRock as a leading private equity partner. The role involves collaboration with investment and client teams, establishing a cohesive marketing vision, and driving innovative communication strategies to engage clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a client and internal communications strategy for the EPM business to build its brand as a leading private markets provider.
  • Collect and analyze marketing KPIs to improve program effectiveness and client satisfaction.
  • Develop ideas for better understanding client needs and effective communication strategies.
  • Act as the liaison between EPM and centralized marketing and communications teams.
  • Elevate key investment insights and messaging across the firm to showcase BlackRock's capabilities.
  • Create compelling written content in various formats including social media, speeches, and internal communications.
  • Develop consistent messaging across all formats including events, conferences, and digital media.
  • Identify impactful market entry strategies utilizing digital technology and social media.
  • Coordinate and lead webcasts with investment professionals for clients.
  • Drive a cohesive events and conference strategy aligned with EPM's growth priorities.
  • Organize and execute BlackRock-hosted client events, developing engaging agendas and session formats.
  • Oversee external sponsorship agreements and manage brand experience with selected vendors.
  • Develop marketing and communications best practices to scale processes across the business.

Requirements

  • Proven storytelling skills in verbal and written communications across various formats.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into compelling narratives.
  • Experience in managing large-scale events across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and ability to manage through complexity.
  • Successful track record in developing go-to-market programs with metrics for ROI.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Alternatives investment industry and current investor interests.
  • Comfortable operating within a matrix organizational structure and influencing diverse teams.
  • Effective management of industry and third-party relationships.
