The Vice President-level Analyst will have primary responsibility for a group of stocks within the specified sectors. Key responsibilities include building financial models, writing research reports, conducting macroeconomic analysis on the global energy industry, and communicating the team's ideas to institutional investors. The role also involves conducting due diligence and collaborating with Citi's product team to identify trends in the sector. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, accustomed to working in a team environment, and possesses the ambition to advance their career within equity research. Responsibilities further include conducting analysis, making investment recommendations, interacting with institutional clients, arranging company visits and regular management contact for investing clients, attending industry conferences, and speaking with industry contacts. The analyst will track company events and earnings, develop financial models and valuation techniques, and establish themselves as an expert in the field. Additionally, the role requires the appropriate assessment of risk when making business decisions, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, and applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior and business practices.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years relevant experience
  • Ability to distill research into an investable thesis and write reports/notes
  • Experience in marketing ideas to internal constituents and clients via phone calls and client marketing trips
  • Facilitating direct corporate access for investors
  • Providing independent regulatory controlled analysis
  • Securing and maintaining applicable licenses
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
