About the position

The Equity Research Analyst for International Technology at Janus Henderson is responsible for conducting independent research to formulate investment recommendations within the international technology sector, focusing on both software and hardware business models. The role involves constructing financial models, undertaking research visits, and communicating findings to Portfolio Managers, all while adhering to the company's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research to formulate investment recommendations on individual securities within the international technology industry.
  • Construct financial models to generate pertinent questions and forecast future revenue, earnings, and cash flows.
  • Undertake research visits and meetings to deepen industry expertise and engage with competitors, customers, and suppliers.
  • Compile and communicate research findings with Portfolio Managers through written notes, reports, and presentations.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of equity investment analyst experience required, preferably on the buy side.
  • Strong stock picking skills with a proven track record of adding value.
  • Proficient in building and maintaining financial models to forecast future revenue, earnings, and cash flows.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong creativity, initiative, and drive.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate articulately and persuasively.
  • Ability to work independently and function effectively within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
  • Commitment to building the business.
