The position involves publishing proprietary equity research in industries aligned with the firm's Banking sectors, showcasing the firm's expertise in these areas. The essential duties include creating and publishing proprietary equity research content that includes stock recommendations (Buy, Hold, Sell) targeted at institutional buy-side clients. The role requires conducting due diligence and providing industry expertise for capital markets equity transactions, as well as initiating C-suite corporate access resources for institutional equity clients. This includes organizing non-deal roadshows, conferences, field trips, bus tours, and conference calls to facilitate client engagement. In addition to these responsibilities, the analyst will conduct independent industry assessments and produce company-specific research reports. The position involves building strong relationships with corporate clients at the highest C-Level, including CEOs, Presidents, COOs, CFOs, and Directors of Strategy. The analyst will work closely with senior analysts and the research team throughout the research production process, as well as with supervisory analysts during the publication process. The role requires conducting research at various levels, including macroeconomic, industry-specific, and individual company analyses. The analyst will also be responsible for building financial models at both the industry and company levels, which include market and market share forecasts, revenue, EPS, and cash flow forecasts. Conducting financial and valuation analyses, formulating investment ideas, and writing draft research commentary are also key components of the job. Depending on the analyst's experience and the needs of the team, there may be opportunities to collaborate with Capital Markets, sales, and trading teams to leverage the analyst's research product into the institutional client base. Additionally, the analyst may maintain active dialogue with representatives of covered companies and work closely with institutional buy-side clients to enhance the impact of their research.
