About the position

Evercore ISI seeks to hire a Research Associate to support the Senior Analyst on its growing Consumer equity research team. This position is based in Westport, CT. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment. The Research Associate will play a crucial role in conducting financial and business modeling, drafting comprehensive research reports, and performing industry and company-specific analysis. Additionally, the role involves monitoring news and collecting relevant data to support the research process. The Research Associate will also be responsible for responding to client inquiries and other requests, ensuring that the team provides timely and accurate information to stakeholders. The stocks covered in this role include major retailers such as Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, Amazon, Target, and others, providing a dynamic and engaging focus for the research efforts.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Analyst in financial and business modeling.
• Draft research reports and conduct industry and company-specific analysis.
• Monitor news and collect relevant data for research purposes.
• Respond to client inquiries and other requests for information.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in Research, Banking, Consulting, or relevant industry experience, or a relevant internship and educational background.
• Strong problem-solving skills and financial modeling capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word; econometric experience is a plus.
• A passion for businesses, equities, and financial markets.
