About the position

The Equity Research Associate position at D.A. Davidson involves partnering with Analysts to provide in-depth analysis and insights on publicly traded companies and industry trends for institutional clients. The role requires strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Associates will contribute to published research and gain experience in formulating opinions and recommendations on securities.

Responsibilities

• Support Research Analyst(s) in making bold calls and producing actionable research for Davidson's institutional clients.
• Research market and industry trends and company specifics to become an expert in your sector.
• Create, maintain, and update data in financial models, and create tables and graphs that clearly illustrate the information.
• Formulate and issue opinions and recommendations on securities and companies in one or more industry groups.
• Prepare reports and statistical data for dissemination to firm clients and the investing public.
• Answer inquiries from customers, personnel of the firm, and the general public regarding individual securities or industry groups.
• Discuss research findings with Sales & Trading associates and institutional clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 3.5 GPA
• Background in accounting and finance strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work well on a self-directed basis
• Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficient communication and presentation skills
