About the position

The Equity Research Associate for Life Insurance at Raymond James Financial, Inc. is responsible for supporting the Equity Analyst in conducting industry and company research. This role involves collecting, organizing, and analyzing data, writing investment-related research reports, and maintaining financial models. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, client-service oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Equity Analyst in preparing industry and company research.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data for investment-related reports.
• Create and maintain financial models for revenue and income forecasts.
• Assemble and analyze data on select growth companies.
• Identify and formulate new investment ideas in targeted industry groups.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of macroeconomic variables.
• Maintain databases and spreadsheets related to the industry and companies.
• Prepare internal and external reports and presentations to communicate research findings.
• Work with Senior Research Analysts on specific research projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in business-related or data analytics field.
• Demonstrated interest in the financial markets or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of advanced concepts and practices of Equity Research.
• Understanding of banking, finance, and securities industry operations.
• Ability to perform quantitative and analytical analysis for financial projections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Nice-to-haves

• Data analytics/Coding skills strongly preferred.
• Experience in supervising or managing teams.
