About the position

Wolfe Research is seeking an Associate to join its Payments, Processors, and IT Services team in New York. This role involves assisting in various aspects of equity research, including modeling, note writing, and creating differentiated analyses. The Associate will report to the Senior Analyst and will have opportunities to communicate with clients and participate in the creative process as they develop in their role. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in modeling and note writing for equity research.
• Help create differentiated research analyses.
• Communicate with clients and sales/traders as responsibilities expand.
• Work with large data sets in Excel/Access and process information independently.
• Generate ideas and balance multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and client service mindset.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions and technical skills, including Bloomberg and/or FactSet.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Math, or Statistics from an accredited institution.
• Experience in equity research, investment banking, public accounting, consulting, or industry is preferred.
• Advanced understanding of financial modeling and experience building 3-statement models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eager to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and collaboratively.
• Demonstrated academic ability with a minimum 3.5 GPA.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus.
• Series 7, 63, 86 & 87 licenses preferred or expected to be completed within the first 12 months.
• Experience with regression analysis and advanced Excel skills.
