About the position

BTIG is seeking an Equity Research Associate to assist the Senior Analyst in equity research focused on Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITS). The role involves conducting financial analysis, industry research, and writing reports while maintaining relationships with industry contacts. This position is ideal for individuals with 1-3 years of experience in investment banking or equity research, who are self-starters and highly motivated.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial models for analysis, company updates, and client recommendations
• Keep senior analysts informed of daily news flow
• Conduct industry and company-specific research through surveys and polling
• Assist in writing comprehensive reports on research ideas and investment themes
• Maintain relationships with company management teams and industry contacts as associates develop

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in investment banking or equity research preferred
• Strong work ethic and resourcefulness
• Ability to think critically and creatively
• Demonstrated interest in Real Estate Investment Trusts or related sector
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to create and maintain financial models and forecasts
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Solid work ethic and superior attention to detail
• Series SIE, 63, 86 & 87 licensing preferred, but not required upon hiring
