About the position

BTIG is seeking an Equity Research Associate focused on Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITS). This role involves assisting the Senior Analyst with primary research, financial analysis, and due diligence on industry trends and company strategies. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial models for analysis, company updates, and client recommendations.
• Keep senior analysts informed of daily news flow.
• Conduct industry and company-specific research through surveys, polling, and primary data collection methods.
• Assist in writing comprehensive reports on research ideas, investment themes, and industry/company breaking news.
• Maintain relationships with company management teams, industry contacts, and institutional investors.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in investment banking or equity research preferred.
• Strong work ethic and resourcefulness.
• Ability to think critically and creatively.
• Demonstrated interest in Real Estate Investment Trusts or related sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain financial models and forecasts.
• Solid attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Series SIE, 63, 86 & 87 licensing preferred, but not required upon hiring.
• Demonstrated interest in Healthcare or related sectors.
