About the position

The Equity Research Associate will support senior research professionals in analyzing industry groups, individual companies, and their securities, focusing on the Utilities, Power, and Renewable Energy sectors. The role involves collecting and evaluating financial data, preparing reports, and formulating investment recommendations based on thorough research and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collect and evaluate statistical and financial data on the economy and financial markets.
• Analyze and synthesize researched data to present trends and business opportunities.
• Formulate and issue opinions and recommendations on securities and companies.
• Prepare reports, opinions, and statistical data for investment policy formulation.
• Answer inquiries regarding individual securities or industry groups.
• Prepare and disseminate special studies, models, forecasts, and presentations for internal use.
• Interview company executives or industry leaders to gather information for analyses.
• Maintain company databases using spreadsheet and database software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, with a focus in accounting or finance.
• Completion of at least 3 senior level accounting and/or financial analysis courses.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an analytical or financial role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
• Ability to synthesize data and articulate findings effectively.
