About the position

The Equity Research Associate role at Voya Financial is an entry-level position within the Voya Investment Management (Voya IM) Entry Level Analyst Program. This program is designed to develop the careers of new employees while providing hands-on experience and formal training. The associate will support the investment team with portfolio analysis and gain exposure to the full equity research lifecycle, working closely with senior analysts to conduct research and analyze financial data.

Responsibilities

• Conduct company and industry research alongside the Senior Analyst.
• Analyze and synthesize relevant data from industry conferences, company earnings calls, and sell-side research reports.
• Create and update financial models.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, graduating in December 2024 or Spring 2025.
• Strong academic record.
• Relevant internships in Investment Management or related Finance fields preferred.
• Coursework in Accounting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and prior experience with financial modeling preferred.
• Bloomberg experience preferred.
• Passion for Finance and demonstrated interest in investing/stock market.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with financial modeling in Excel.
• Prior internships in finance or investment management.
