About the position

Jefferies is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to cover the clean energy sector, focusing on associate-level responsibilities related to clean energy stocks. The role involves building and maintaining detailed company models, staying updated on company news, and contributing to thematic reports and company initiations. The position requires strong communication skills to interact with clients and maintain relationships with company investor relations teams.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for associate-level coverage of an array of clean energy stocks
• Build and maintain detailed company models
• Stay on top of company news, track filings, listen to conference calls
• Write first look notes, contribute to longer thematic reports, and company initiations
• Field questions and communicate with sales and/or clients
• Maintain relationships with company IR teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience covering clean energy on the sell-side, buy-side, banking or consulting
• Experienced in FactSet and/or Bloomberg; knowledge of industry-specific databases also helpful
• Advanced Excel modeling and writing skills
• Strong knowledge of accounting, corporate finance and energy-specific terminology/concepts
• Bachelor's/University degree
• CFA or progression towards CFA preferred
• FINRA Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 preferred (required within 5 months of hire)
