About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Equity Research Vice President specializing in the Internet sector. This role involves conducting fundamental equity research, building financial models, and writing reports on companies and industry themes. The VP will collaborate with various teams and develop expertise in the Internet sector while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct fundamental equity research to provide differentiated industry and stock-specific content.
  • Build and maintain financial estimates and databases.
  • Write research reports on key company updates and industry themes.
  • Develop expertise on companies in the Internet sector.
  • Attend company and industry events to cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts.
  • Communicate team views on covered companies with internal and external constituents.
  • Exercise independent judgment while understanding function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Securities Research experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • BS/BA or higher in a relevant field.
  • Direct experience within the Internet sector or equity research industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in modeling.
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of financial statement analysis and accounting principles in the capital markets industry.
  • Understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet.
