About the position

The ER/Trauma RN position at Infojini Healthcare involves providing professional nursing care in a fast-paced emergency room setting. The role requires coordination of care planning with other disciplines, effective communication with physicians, and the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient conditions. The nurse will be responsible for performing assessments, managing pain, and educating patients and families, while also demonstrating technical skills and knowledge of medications and treatments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care within the assigned department.
  • Coordinate care planning with other disciplines.
  • Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
  • Assess and manage pain using appropriate techniques.
  • Revise and evaluate the plan of care based on patient responses to treatment.
  • Administer medications correctly based on age and clinical condition.
  • Assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical skills.
  • Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with charge nurse, co-workers, and physicians.
  • Consult with other departments to provide an interdisciplinary approach to patient needs.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in a similar role required.
  • High proficiency in both Emergency Department (ED) and Medical/Surgical (MS) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) required.
  • ACLS certification required; PALS or ENPC required within 6 months.
  • COVID vaccination required.
  • Ability to float between units as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Rural or small facility experience preferred.
  • Experience with MS, ED, and PCU/MS highly preferred.
