Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to patients in the emergency and urgent care setting.
- Assist veterinarians with procedures and treatments for patients.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets' health and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
- Monitor and manage patients in the ICU, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Perform diagnostic tests and assist in the interpretation of results.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
- Support the training and mentoring of junior staff and veterinary assistants.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in an ER/Urgent care setting.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to multi-task in a moderate volume, fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with great attention to detail.
- Experience in client services and patient care.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT) encouraged.
- Experience in a hybrid veterinary hospital setting.
