About the position

The ERM Policy/Program Manager at City National Bank is responsible for supporting the development and operation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Risk Management Framework. This role involves project management, managing ERM processes, developing and implementing enterprise-wide policies, and facilitating the integration of risk management principles throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor City National Bank's Enterprise Risk Management program in accordance with current and changing standards, regulations, and internal needs.
  • Further mature and execute regular reviews of the ERM Framework to ensure adherence to enterprise, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Gather expert knowledge of the evolving Enterprise Risk Management regulatory and industry environment to inform governance mechanisms.
  • Manage ERM framework adoption and adherence monitoring process, including documentation and routine reporting of adherence status across business areas.
  • Support regulatory exams and audit engagements concerning the ERM Framework, including oversight and delivery of regulatory requests.
  • Lead and manage updates to ongoing ERM reporting and communication.
  • Coordinate and support regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services or risk management.
  • Minimum 5 years of auditing, consulting, Enterprise Risk Management or banking experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in risk, finance, mathematics, engineering or statistics or related discipline with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, SharePoint.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and facilitate change through collaborative effort.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivation, discipline, task focus, and ability to structure and present work.
  • Proven record of delivering high quality results within strict deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize several concurrent initiatives.
