About the position

The ERP Administrator I position at the City of Hopewell is responsible for the system administration and 24/7 maintenance and support of the Munis ERP system, which is critical for the financial operations of the city. This role involves implementing new modules, developing existing ones, providing training, and ensuring disaster recovery for the Tyler Tech Enterprise ERP system. The administrator will also serve as a project manager for system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system administration and 24/7 maintenance/support for the Munis ERP system.
  • Develop, document, and maintain system standards and installation procedures.
  • Troubleshoot issues experienced by Munis end users and identify solutions.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (Superuser) for the Tyler ERP System.
  • Manage the execution of project plans for ERP system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Provide system support and training for Munis super users.
  • Interface with departments to understand business processes and requirements.
  • Monitor and manage module web services and nightly backups.
  • Create and maintain SQL Server scripts and DTS packages for data conversion.
  • Develop reports using Crystal Reporting Services as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field.
  • Considerable experience in integrated Financial/HR/PR ERP systems, preferably Tyler MUNIS ERP.
  • Experience in one or more scripting/programming languages, preferably Transact SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience in report writing using Crystal Reporting Services.
  • Experience in project planning, implementation, and management.
  • Ability to write and maintain system documentation and specifications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct training and explain technical material to users.
