About the position

The ERP Analyst/Business Analyst role focuses on supporting the PeopleSoft Financials system for the Department of General Services (DGS) in Richmond, VA. The position involves business analysis, functional and technical documentation, and test planning to enhance the operations and security of the PeopleSoft Financials system. The analyst will collaborate with technical teams and financial officers to streamline processes and ensure effective system functionality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business analysis and gather technical requirements for PeopleSoft Financials.
• Document workflow processes and changes to PeopleSoft configurations.
• Develop test plans, use cases, and perform quality assurance validation including user acceptance testing.
• Create training materials and conduct user training sessions.
• Work with stakeholders and Fiscal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop business requirements for system enhancements.
• Participate in functional and systems integration unit testing, creating use case scenarios and documenting testing results.
• Meet regularly with project teams to demonstrate quality work output and keep stakeholders informed of key issues.

Requirements

• Experience in system design and development with a focus on process improvement.
• Proficiency with PeopleSoft Financials.
• Strong documentation skills for workflow processes and system configurations.
• Experience in developing test plans and performing various types of testing including user acceptance testing.
• Ability to develop training materials and conduct user training.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Specific experience with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Asset Management for Lease Administration.
• Project experience with Commonwealth of Virginia (COV) projects.
