About the position

The ERP Business Analyst serves as a Product Owner, collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop and implement ERP software solutions. This role involves working closely with executive management, customers, and development teams to ensure that business, quality, and functional goals are met with each product release. The analyst is responsible for shaping the product roadmap, defining requirements, writing user stories, and prioritizing initiatives to drive scalability and investments for the product.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a blend of business and technical expertise in building new IT software projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements and specifications on a project-by-project basis.
  • Work closely with the IT team and various departments to identify the best migration plan for internal applications.
  • Define software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary.
  • Assist with production system issues as they arise and manage the process through to problem resolution.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Education in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Technology.
  • Experience with ERP system technology and a deep business understanding of ERP domains (Accounting, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Human Resources, Inventory Management, Sales, Purchasing, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of modern coding methods and best practices.
  • Experience working with Oracle database structures and familiarity with PL/SQL features, Packages, Functions, and Procedures.
  • Prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with non-technical staff.
  • Keen attention to detail and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • At least 3 - 5 years' experience is required.
