About the position

The ERP Manufacturing Planner, Sr. Staff will play a crucial role in the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Enterprise Operations Team, focusing on coordinating manufacturing processes and ensuring production schedules are met. This position requires extensive experience in production planning and control, as well as the ability to support operations across multiple sites. The planner will act as a subject matter expert, providing critical support to maintain operational efficiency and manage supply chain requirements effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance across multiple sites and production processes to fill critical employee gaps and support surge operations.
  • Travel to various operations across the U.S. for extended periods to support manufacturing needs.
  • Perform assignments in roles such as Make Planner and Buy Planner, utilizing a Warehouse Management system for transactional capabilities.
  • Support systems and operations projects as directed by the Enterprise Sr. Production Planning and Control Staff.
  • Act in a leadership capacity when required during assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, preferably in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
  • Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control principles, processes, and tools.
  • Extensive experience with SAP ECC ERP/PP Module.
  • Experience in inventory management, scheduling, and production control in an electrical assembly and integration facility.
  • Subject Matter Expert experience in planning, preparation, issuance, and control of production schedules and material requirements.
  • Certified Six Sigma Greenbelt.
  • Active Secret security clearance.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate to executive leadership.
  • Trained Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (with Certification in progress).
  • Experience supporting Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS).
  • Previous transactional experience with Apriso.
