About the position

The Senior ERP Systems Analyst at Magna Structures Tennessee plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation and utilization of the CMS system under the guidance of the IT manager. This position is designed for an individual who can effectively address operational challenges and develop solutions to meet new business requirements. The analyst will leverage strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify, articulate, and resolve system-related issues. Maintaining open lines of communication within the IT team is essential to foster a collaborative team environment. In this role, the analyst will serve as the subject matter expert for the CMS, which includes overseeing the production manager system utilized for shop floor reporting. Key responsibilities include providing process leadership in various areas such as shop floor reporting, inventory management, standard costing, bill of materials, routings, scheduling, and MRP. The analyst will also engage with financial systems, purchasing systems, and shipping & EDI processes, ensuring that all operational objectives are met by studying business functions and proposing necessary design modifications. The position requires collaboration with developers, programmers, and designers to conceptualize and implement system enhancements. The analyst will also be responsible for developing and executing simple queries for data analysis, assisting end users in creating custom reports, and providing training on the CMS system. Additionally, the analyst will support the production floor by addressing system-related issues and implementing backup procedures during system outages. This role is pivotal in coordinating the integration of external systems with CMS and supporting labeling changes with design modifications.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert for CMS, including the production manager system for shop floor reporting.
  • Provide process leadership in shop floor reporting, inventory management, and scrap management.
  • Manage standard cost, bill of materials, routings, and methods.
  • Oversee scheduling and MRP processes.
  • Support financial systems including GL, AP, AR, and FA.
  • Handle purchasing systems and vendor returns.
  • Manage shipping & EDI processes and customer returns.
  • Trial and prove out new proposed ideas for system utilization.
  • Collaborate with developers, programmers, and designers on system enhancements.
  • Develop and run simple queries for data analysis.
  • Assist end users in building custom reports using iSeries reporting tools.
  • Train end users on proper CMS system usage.
  • Support the production floor with system-related issues.
  • Implement backup procedures for production during system outages.
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions and proposing design modifications.
  • Coordinate the integration of systems external to CMS.
  • Develop and support labeling changes with label format design modifications.
