The position involves performing field commissioning procedures for electrical systems, particularly focusing on moderately complex systems. The role requires a candidate to have some experience with mechanical systems as well. The individual will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and documenting results, which may be mentally demanding due to the need for concentration on multiple projects simultaneously. The position operates with limited supervision, allowing for a degree of independence in managing tasks and responsibilities. Key responsibilities include executing all aspects of commissioning for electrical power distribution systems, developing and participating in the Owners Project Requirements (OPR) process, and preparing necessary documentation. The candidate will also conduct commissioning design reviews, prepare pre-functional and functional forms, and participate in various meetings related to design, construction, commissioning, and project progress. Additionally, the role involves developing commissioning requirements and plans, tracking and reporting issues, and participating in training programs. The successful candidate will also be involved in Integrated Systems Tests (IST), assist in developing Systems Manuals, and contribute to preventative maintenance plans. They will be responsible for writing and assembling commissioning reports, managing projects comprehensively, and representing the company as a lecturer on technical topics. The role requires the individual to take an active role in business development, maintain strong client relationships, and handle all functions related to job proposals, including estimating man-hours and expenses, and developing scope and pricing.
