A significant aspect of the job involves developing tests and inspections in new areas of field services, ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of industry standards. The engineer will utilize troubleshooting capabilities with AC/DC load-banks and power quality recording instrumentation, along with all testing and troubleshooting equipment associated with UPS, Charger, and Battery testing. They will perform installation and start-up services on all UPS and DC/Battery systems, and may also supervise a full range of complex engineering studies. Writing complete and detailed reports promptly at the end of each project is essential, as is accurately processing job billing. The engineer may also perform complex analysis and evaluative tasks necessary for equipment labeling projects, ensuring compliance with recognized industry standards and local jurisdiction requirements. In addition to technical responsibilities, the engineer will maintain strong client relationships and perform all functions related to written job proposals, including estimating man-hours and expenses, and developing scope and pricing.
