About the position

As an ES Driver Pad-Industrial at Waste Management, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties that meet customer needs. This role is essential in ensuring that materials are hauled safely, often requiring navigation through congested and confined areas in rural locations. You will operate the vehicle in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations, while maintaining a clean and safe vehicle. Your responsibilities will include performing pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle using the standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR), noting any issues for corrective review or repair. You will be expected to report any unsafe situations or service calls to your Manager or Dispatch immediately. Participation in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings is required, and you will work closely with Managers to improve efficiency and identify any problems or unsafe accounts. In addition to driving, you will be responsible for notifying your Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage, and communicating customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Manager. You will also complete and submit customer tickets when excess yardage must be removed and ensure that containers are positioned correctly on the customer's property.
