About the position

As a Customer Development Manager II at Windstream Enterprise, you will play a crucial role in fostering relationships with established clients and enhancing their businesses through innovative technology solutions. This position requires a proactive approach to customer engagement, where you will reach out to clients to understand their unique needs and pain points. By leveraging your expertise in a consultative sales approach, you will design customized communication solutions that align with the clients' goals. Your responsibilities will include developing proposals, negotiating pricing, and managing a sales pipeline to meet or exceed monthly renewal and conversion targets. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Sales Engineering and Sales Support teams to ensure that the solutions provided meet client requirements effectively. You will also be responsible for recording all customer interactions and transactions, adhering to quality standards, and maintaining a deep understanding of the latest products and promotions offered by Windstream. Your ability to make outbound calls to engage decision-makers and close sales will be essential in delivering a best-in-class customer experience. Additionally, you will contribute to building a positive and motivated sales team culture within Windstream Enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively reach out to established Windstream Enterprise clients to build and maintain relationships.
  • Develop and foster relationships with decision makers and/or IT vendors to become the go-to resource for communications solutions.
  • Work with Sales partners to upsell communication solutions to decision makers within a designated customer base.
  • Leverage expertise in a consultative sales approach to design customized communication solutions for clients.
  • Develop proposals and negotiate pricing within company margins.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline to meet or exceed monthly renewal and conversion goals and initiatives.
  • Adhere to quality standards, including efficiency, customer feedback, and knowledge-based metrics.
  • Record all activities, transactions, and communications with customers.
  • Understand the latest products, processes, and promotions to provide the right solution to clients.
  • Make outbound calls to identify and engage decision-makers and close sales.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Sales Support teams to determine appropriate solutions to meet client needs.
  • Close sales and track orders through to service delivery to provide a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Participate in Windstream Enterprise culture to build a positive, motivated sales team.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent and 4-6 years professional level job related experience (inside or direct sales experience); or 8+ years professional level equivalent related experience; or a combination of education and related professional level experience required.
