About the position

As a Customer Development Manager II at Windstream Enterprise, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our customers' businesses through our advanced technology solutions. This position requires a proactive approach to building and maintaining relationships with established Windstream Enterprise clients. You will be responsible for reaching out to these clients, understanding their unique pain points, and guiding them towards the right communication solutions that leverage our innovative technology portfolio. Your role will involve collaborating closely with decision-makers and IT vendors to establish yourself as the go-to resource for communications solutions. In this position, you will utilize a consultative sales approach to design customized communication solutions tailored to your clients' needs. You will develop proposals, negotiate pricing within company margins, and manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed monthly renewal and conversion goals. Adhering to quality standards is essential, as you will be expected to maintain efficiency, gather customer feedback, and track knowledge-based metrics. You will also be responsible for recording all activities, transactions, and communications with customers to ensure a seamless experience. Your daily tasks will include making outbound calls to engage decision-makers, closing sales, and tracking orders through to service delivery. Collaboration with Sales Engineering and Sales Support teams will be vital in determining the most appropriate solutions for client needs. Additionally, you will participate in fostering a positive and motivated sales team culture within Windstream Enterprise, contributing to a workplace that values innovation and belonging.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively reach out to established Windstream Enterprise clients to build and maintain relationships.
  • Develop and foster relationships with decision makers and/or IT vendors to become the go-to resource for communications solutions.
  • Work with Sales partners to upsell communication solutions to decision makers within a designated customer base.
  • Leverage expertise in a consultative sales approach to design customized communication solutions for clients.
  • Develop proposals and negotiate pricing within company margins.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline to meet or exceed monthly renewal and conversion goals and initiatives.
  • Adhere to quality standards, including efficiency, customer feedback, and knowledge-based metrics.
  • Record all activities, transactions, and communications with customers.
  • Understand the latest products, processes, and promotions to provide the right solution to clients.
  • Make outbound calls to identify and engage decision-makers and close sales.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Sales Support teams to determine appropriate solutions to meet client needs.
  • Close sales and track orders through to service delivery to provide a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Participate in Windstream Enterprise culture to build a positive, motivated sales team.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent and 4-6 years professional level job related experience (inside or direct sales experience); or 8+ years professional level equivalent related experience; or a combination of education and related professional level experience required.
