This position is crucial for ensuring the integrity of both voluntary and mandatory ESG disclosures. The ideal candidate will have experience with various audit methods and standards, and the ability to apply this knowledge to meet evolving ESG regulation and reporting requirements. As a self-starter, the ESG Controller will take initiative and find creative solutions to new and emerging challenges in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will develop and operationalize the internal infrastructure required to meet mandatory ESG reporting and assurance requirements. This includes implementing SOX-like controls across the end-to-end business processes from data sources to disclosures. You will manage SEC and state-level climate reporting, build data collection and methodological processes for ESG data (including climate, packaging, chemicals, labor, and DEI), and implement and maintain internal controls. Additionally, you will handle audit methods, core business procedures, risks, and related exposure while supporting and coordinating with teams managing voluntary ESG reporting and disclosures to ensure consistency and synergy. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, Governance, and Audit will be essential to ensure consistent ESG reporting.
