About the position

The ESIS Claims Representative position is a full-time role based in Tampa, Florida, operating on a hybrid work schedule of three days in the office and two days remote. The representative will manage and maintain all workers' compensation claims and file reviews under the supervision of a supervisor, contributing to the ESIS team. This role requires experience in workers' compensation claims, particularly in the Defense Base Act or Longshore claims, and the ability to work independently while assimilating various technical subjects.

Responsibilities

• Handle and maintain all workers' compensation claims and file reviews.
• Determine, calculate, and issue accurate benefit payments to injured workers, medical providers, and vendors in a timely manner.
• Assist with national coordination of accounts.
• Remain calm and professional during peak periods of activity.
• Organize, prioritize, and complete multiple objectives effectively.

Requirements

• Five or more years' experience in handling Federal Workers' Compensation Claims.
• Experience in managing Defense Base Act or Longshore claims investigation/adjusting.
• Working knowledge of Federal Workers' compensation coverage, compensability, principles, and practice.
• Ability to work independently while assimilating various technical components.
• Solid computer software skills (M/S Word, Excel).
• An applicable resident or designated home state adjuster's license is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a third-party administrator (TPA) environment is a plus.
• AIC/CPCU certification is preferred.
