About the position

The Claims Representative at ESIS ProClaim will manage complex commercial auto liability and general liability claims, ensuring adherence to established best practices and client instructions. This hybrid role involves both in-office and remote work, focusing on analyzing coverage, investigating claims, and securing evidence to achieve optimal settlement outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Review policy information to determine coverage and conduct thorough investigations.
• Maintain a diary system to ensure each file is reviewed at least every 90 days.
• Manage litigation processes related to claims.
• Develop, work on, and share performance and productivity goals.
• Review, analyze, and share performance results, productivity, and audit/quality review results.
• Provide direction to claims professionals for effective collaboration with defense counsel and litigation.
• Ensure detailed 90-day Claim Summary Reports are prepared and provide updates to clients.
• Post loss and expense reserves in the Claims system within authority limits and recommend reserve changes above authority to AVP and/or VP of Claims.
• Review progress and status of claims with claims leadership and discuss issues/opportunities.
• Prepare and submit reports on unusual or potentially undesirable exposures to claims leadership.
• Assist Claims Leadership in improving claims handling procedures.
• Work with Partnership Leaders on delivering results and attending meetings and claim reviews.
• Confirm claims professionals have secured appropriate releases, proofs of loss, or compensation agreements and issue company drafts for claims payments.
• Maintain claims with appropriate file notes, reports, photos, and documentation.
• Follow all company and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Update claims timely with Medicare data and address Medicare reporting & interest.
• Meet or exceed performance goals.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in claims management or a related field.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Knowledge of insurance policies and claims processes.
• Ability to manage litigation and work with defense counsel.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in commercial auto liability and general liability claims.
• Familiarity with Medicare reporting requirements.
