About the position
The Sauk Prairie School District is seeking a full-time ESL/Bilingual Teacher fluent in Spanish for Bridges Elementary School for the 2024-25 school year. This role involves teaching language and content to students in grades K-2, focusing on creating a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving instruction and building relationships with students, staff, and the community.
Responsibilities
- Teach language and content in both small group and whole group settings.
- Implement CCSS through a student-centered, collaborative environment.
- Provide differentiated instruction to support all students.
- Contribute to RtI time by meeting regularly with staff.
- Build trust with students, staff, parents, and the community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Current or ability to obtain Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction ESL License 1395.
- Preference for candidates with Bilingual/Bicultural Education License 1023 and Regular Education License 1777.
- Understanding of best practices for working with ELLs.
