Responsibilities

• Assist students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts.
• Implement instructional programs and lesson plans under the direction of an ESL classroom teacher.
• Maintain student files and records to ensure availability of items and provide reliable information.
• Modify classroom work and homework to support classroom objectives.
• Monitor individual and groups of students in various settings to enforce school rules and provide a safe learning environment.
• Promote good habits and self-esteem to improve student outcomes in the ESL program.
• Administer a variety of tests and input scores into student files.
• Assist other personnel as required to ensure an efficient work environment.
• Attend meetings and in-service presentations to acquire and convey job-related information.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Job-related experience is desired.
• Valid Driver's License and Evidence of Insurability.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
