About the position
The ESL Teacher position at Catapult Learning involves providing targeted remedial instruction to K-8 students in small group settings. This part-time role requires a NJ Standard Certified ESL Teacher or a NJ Substitute certificate holder to work approximately 20 hours per week across multiple campuses in Paterson/Newark, NJ. The teacher will advocate for students, deliver designated instructional models, and maintain student records while ensuring a safe learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide targeted remedial, pull-out instruction in a small group format to K-8 students.
- Work with small groups of 6-8 students.
- Attend training sessions and pass content assessments.
- Deliver designated instructional models and strategies to eligible students.
- Create and update all student/program records as required by Catapult Learning, district, and state.
- Ensure supervision of students to assure their safety.
- Meet with supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents.
- Maintain inventory of teaching materials and supplies.
Requirements
- Current active NJ Standard ESL teaching certificate or NJ Substitute certificate required.
- Proficient in MS Office, OneDrive, Zoom, etc.
