About the position

The Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) Development Program at Saint-Gobain North America is designed for recent graduates in engineering, particularly those with a focus on chemical engineering. This 18-month program aims to prepare participants for a dynamic career in manufacturing, particularly as the industry transitions into Manufacturing 4.0. Participants will engage in a series of challenges and learning opportunities that will help them become thought leaders in the field. The program emphasizes the application of educational theory to practical manufacturing scenarios, encouraging participants to innovate and improve manufacturing processes. Throughout the program, participants will rotate through various plants in North America every three months, spending approximately one week at each location. This exposure allows them to learn about different business operations, products, and build camaraderie with their cohort. Each participant will be paired with a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance and support, helping them navigate the complexities of large and diverse business units. The program is structured to challenge participants through hands-on projects that are critical to the business, pushing them to rethink traditional manufacturing methods. Training sessions will cover essential skills such as lean manufacturing practices, data analytics, project management, and presentation skills. From the very beginning, participants will be empowered to make a tangible impact within the organization, taking on responsibilities that yield concrete results. Upon completion of the EOM program, graduates will have the opportunity to apply for the Essentials Global Experience Program, which allows them to work on international projects with Saint-Gobain businesses around the world. This global exposure is contingent upon having valid travel documentation, including a passport. The program is designed not only to enhance technical skills but also to foster a sense of community and collaboration among participants, aligning with Saint-Gobain's core values of Trust, Empowerment, and Collaboration.
