About the position

The Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) Development Program at Saint-Gobain North America is designed for aspiring Electrical/Robotics Engineers who are eager to contribute to the next manufacturing revolution, known as Manufacturing 4.0. This 18-month program offers a unique opportunity to engage with various aspects of manufacturing, providing participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to innovate and lead in the industry. Throughout the program, participants will rotate through different plants across North America every three months, spending approximately one week at each location. This hands-on experience will allow them to learn about the company's diverse businesses, products, and operations while fostering strong relationships with fellow cohort members. The program emphasizes mentorship, pairing participants with dedicated mentors who will guide them through the complexities of large and diverse business units. This mentorship is crucial for navigating the challenges of the manufacturing landscape and for personal career development. Participants will be tasked with working on high-priority projects that challenge traditional manufacturing methods, allowing them to apply their educational background in real-world scenarios. Training sessions will cover essential skills such as lean manufacturing practices, data analytics, business acumen, project management, and presentation skills, ensuring that participants are well-equipped for their future careers. From day one, the program focuses on making a tangible impact within the organization. Participants will be empowered to take on significant responsibilities and will be expected to deliver concrete results. Upon completion of the EOM Program, graduates will have the opportunity to apply for the Essentials Global Experience Program, which offers the chance to work on international projects with Saint-Gobain businesses around the world, provided they have valid travel documentation, including a passport.

Responsibilities

Requirements
