About the position

The Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) Development Program at Saint-Gobain North America is designed for recent graduates in engineering disciplines, particularly those specializing in Electrical or Robotics Engineering. This 18-month program offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the manufacturing sector during a pivotal time known as Manufacturing 4.0. Participants will engage in a series of challenges and projects that will not only enhance their technical skills but also provide insights into the operational aspects of manufacturing. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, mentorship, and exposure to various business units within the company, allowing participants to build a strong foundation for their careers. Throughout the program, participants will rotate through different plants across North America every three months, spending approximately one week at each location. This structure is designed to foster camaraderie among cohort members while providing a comprehensive understanding of Saint-Gobain's diverse operations. Participants will work closely with dedicated mentors who will guide them through the complexities of the manufacturing environment, sharing valuable knowledge and advice that is essential for career development. From day one, participants will be empowered to take on responsibilities that yield concrete results, thereby gaining invaluable experience in a condensed timeframe. Upon completion of the EOM program, graduates will have the opportunity to apply for the Essentials Global Experience Program, which allows them to work on international projects with Saint-Gobain businesses worldwide. The program is structured to ensure that participants are not only prepared for immediate roles but are also positioned as future leaders in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in an 18-month development program focused on enhancing manufacturing skills.

Requirements

  • Completed B.S. in an engineering discipline (Electrical/Robotics).
  • A desire to relocate and travel; valid passport for international travel required.
  • Willingness to learn and step outside of comfort zones.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • No immigration sponsorship is provided.
