About the position

The Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) Development Program at Saint-Gobain North America is designed for recent graduates in engineering, particularly those with a focus on chemical engineering. This 18-month program aims to prepare participants for a dynamic career in manufacturing, particularly in the context of Manufacturing 4.0. Throughout the program, participants will engage in a series of challenges and learning experiences that will help them become thought leaders in the industry. The program emphasizes the application of educational theory to practical manufacturing scenarios, encouraging participants to innovate and improve manufacturing processes. Participants will have the opportunity to spend approximately one week every three months at different plants across North America, allowing them to learn about various business operations, products, and build camaraderie with their cohort. Each participant will be paired with a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance and support throughout the program, helping them navigate the complexities of large and diverse business units. The program is structured to challenge participants through hands-on projects that are critical to the business, fostering the development of technical and business skills in areas such as lean manufacturing practices, data analytics, project management, and presentation skills. From the very beginning, participants will be empowered to make a tangible impact within the organization, gaining invaluable experience in a condensed timeframe. Upon completion of the program, graduates will have the opportunity to apply for the Essentials Global Experience Program, which allows them to work on international projects with Saint-Gobain businesses worldwide, provided they have valid travel documentation.
