About the position

The Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) Development Program at Saint-Gobain North America is an 18-month full-time operational role designed to prepare participants for a dynamic career in manufacturing. This program focuses on developing manufacturing skills, providing exposure to various business operations, and fostering a community among participants. Through mentorship, hands-on learning, and quarterly travel opportunities, participants will gain invaluable experience and contribute to the next manufacturing revolution.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an 18-month development program focused on increasing manufacturing skills.
• Engage in classroom-based E-learnings and hands-on action-based learning in operational environments.
• Work on priority projects that challenge existing manufacturing practices.
• Travel to different plants in North America every three months to learn about various businesses and operations.
• Collaborate with a dedicated mentor to navigate through diverse business units and gain essential knowledge.

Requirements

• B.S. in an engineering discipline (Chemical or Mechanical).
• Desire to travel (valid passport required for international travel).
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and step out of comfort zones.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in lean manufacturing practices.
• Familiarity with data analytics and project management.
