About the position

The Essentials of Manufacturing Engineer-Electrical/Robotics Engineer position is part of the 18-month Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) Development Program at Saint-Gobain North America. This program is designed to prepare participants for a dynamic career in manufacturing by providing hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to various business units. Participants will work on impactful projects, learn about lean manufacturing practices, and develop their technical and business skills while traveling to different plants across North America.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an 18-month development program focused on increasing manufacturing skills and exposure to Saint-Gobain operations.
• Engage in hands-on action-based learning in operational environments.
• Complete classroom-based E-learnings and various trainings in lean manufacturing, data analytics, and project management.
• Work on priority projects that challenge existing manufacturing practices.
• Build camaraderie with fellow EOM cohort members during quarterly plant visits.

Requirements

• B.S. in an engineering discipline (Robotics or Electrical).
• Desire to travel and relocate; valid passport required for international travel.
• Willingness to learn and step out of comfort zones.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in manufacturing or engineering internships.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices.
