Maker, Fragale & Di Costanzo, LLP, a progressive boutique law firm located in Westchester County, New York, is seeking an experienced Estate and Trust Administration Paralegal to join their elder law and estate planning practice. This role focuses on the administration of trusts and estates, requiring a bright, self-starting, polished, articulate, and detail-oriented individual. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collegial, team-oriented environment and must possess a strong background in the administration of trusts and estates. Candidates lacking this experience will not be considered. The paralegal will be responsible for assisting attorneys with the preparation of legal documents and the administration of estates. This includes preparing accountings, primarily informal, and maintaining heavy communication with existing and prospective clients, court personnel, and other relevant individuals. The role demands timely follow-up on pending matters and outstanding information and documents, as well as organizing and maintaining files and monitoring deadlines. The candidate must be proactive in taking appropriate actions without needing prompts. To succeed in this position, the candidate must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to prioritize tasks under deadlines, and effective time management. Attention to detail and the ability to follow complex instructions in a fast-paced environment are essential. Responsibilities

  • Assisting attorneys with the preparation of documents and the administration of estates

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the administration of trusts and estates
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize under deadline and manage time effectively
  • Excellent organization skills with an eye for details
  • Ability to follow complex instructions in a fast-paced environment
