About the position

The Estate Manager will oversee the daily operations of multiple estates, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization. This role requires a proactive individual with extensive experience in household management, capable of handling a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills to manage staff and vendors while maintaining discretion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of all estates, including landscape and outdoor areas
  • Performing routine maintenance and making repairs as needed
  • Scheduling inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
  • Ensuring proper security measures are in place
  • Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities
  • Conducting residential projects from start to finish
  • Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, and safety occurrences
  • Managing small to large scale time-sensitive projects
  • Managing household and kitchen staff
  • Scheduling and managing various vendors
  • Event planning and coordination
  • Maintaining food inventory levels and purchasing groceries
  • Ensuring Chef's schedule meets family needs
  • Interviewing and hiring chefs and servers
  • Overseeing kitchen budget and maintaining receipts and expenses

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in a relevant role (Butler, Chief Of Staff, Facilities Manager, Estate Manager, Household Manager)
  • Ability to work 50-60 hours a week as needed
  • Some off-hour and weekend availability
  • Maintaining discretion and confidentiality
  • Polished, friendly, professional demeanor
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to take criticism and improve
