The Estate Planning and Administration Paralegal at TuckerAllen plays a crucial role in supporting both clients and attorneys throughout the estate planning process. The paralegal will be responsible for drafting estate plans and related documents, preparing binders for client signings, maintaining electronic files, and communicating with clients regarding their documents and appointments. The paralegal will also be expected to attend estate plan document signing meetings, ensuring that all necessary documentation is prepared and executed correctly.

Responsibilities

  • Draft estate plans, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney using drafting software.
  • Draft beneficiary and other real estate transfer deeds.
  • Prepare binders for client signings and maintain electronic files of scanned documents and drafts.
  • Communicate with clients to book signing appointments or check on the status of draft document reviews.
  • Edit draft documents for client changes and prepare documents for signing.
  • Attend estate plan document signing meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of estate plan drafting experience.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and positive communication skills.
  • Excellent typing skills and computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience with estate plan drafting software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with specific estate plan drafting programs (please specify in application).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain highly organized.
