About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Probate and Estate Planning Paralegal to join our team at the Law Office of DuPont and Blumenstiel in Dublin, OH. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in estate planning and probate law, with excellent organizational and communication skills. In this role, you will assist our attorneys in managing estate planning and probate cases, ensuring that all documents and filings are completed accurately and on time. Your contributions will be vital in helping our clients navigate the complexities of estate planning and probate processes, providing them with peace of mind as they secure their legacies. As a Probate and Estate Planning Paralegal, you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing essential estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives. You will also assist with the administration of estates, which involves preparing probate petitions, inventories, and accountings. Effective communication is key in this role, as you will be liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other parties involved in the estate planning and probate process. In addition to document preparation, you will conduct legal research and gather relevant information for estate planning and probate matters. Managing case files and maintaining accurate records and documentation will be part of your daily responsibilities. You will also coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and other appointments, providing comprehensive support to attorneys in all aspects of estate planning and probate cases. Responsibilities

  • Drafting and reviewing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives
  • Assisting with the administration of estates, including preparing probate petitions, inventories, and accountings
  • Communicating with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other parties involved in the estate planning and probate process

Requirements

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar
  • Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
  • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred
  • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies
  • Bachelor's degree desired
  • 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
