About the position

The Salon Technician, specifically an Esthetician, is responsible for delivering professional services related to the care and treatment of skin, hair, and nails. This role emphasizes ongoing education and technical skill development, aiming to provide high-quality services to salon clientele. The position is integral to building a client base and achieving sales goals while maintaining a professional salon environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional skin care services including facials, hair removal, and body treatments.
• Meet or exceed personal service and retail sales goals.
• Acknowledge clients promptly upon their arrival at the salon.
• Build a client base by recruiting new clients and maintaining customer records.
• Deliver quality service through technical skills and recommend appropriate retail products.
• Address customer service issues and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Participate in ongoing education regarding products, services, and industry trends.
• Maintain personal work area and salon in compliance with State Board Regulations.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties including cleaning and stocking.
• Organize time and resources effectively to meet sales goals.
• Communicate with salon management regarding operational needs and issues.
• Adhere to salon attendance and dress code guidelines.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid and current board certified license.
• Two to five years of experience in the cosmetology or cosmetic industry preferred.
• Ability to use computer keyboard, standard telephone, and other related business equipment.
• Ability to work with chemicals and chemical compounds.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
