About the position

The position involves providing waxing and skincare services to guests while ensuring their comfort and safety. The role requires assessing guest needs, advising on proper skincare, and promoting spa services and products. The esthetician must maintain a professional appearance, adhere to company policies, and foster positive relationships with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide waxing and skincare services to guests.
• Assess guest needs and examine skin, hair, or nails to evaluate condition and appropriateness of scheduled service.
• Advise guests on proper skin, hair, or nail care and recommend home care regimens.
• Promote and sell spa/salon services and retail products.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms.
• Set up workstation and treatment room with necessary products and equipment.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools.
• Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day.
• Handle inappropriate guest behavior and inform supervisor/manager.
• Maintain current licensure in service area.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
• Complete safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs.
• Assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.

Requirements

• Valid State Esthetician License
• At least 1-year of related work experience
• Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree preferred
