About the position

The Estimator position at B Concrete involves estimating costs for commercial concrete projects ranging from $5,000 to $2.5 million. The role requires a strong background in concrete or construction estimating, with a focus on quality and integrity in service delivery. The estimator will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate bids and successful project handoffs.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to bid on concrete construction projects ranging from $5,000 to $2.5 million.
• Review invitations to bid, specifications, and schedules prior to bidding.
• Perform take-offs, assign efficiencies, and create a full-scale budget for the scope of work.
• Submit quotes to customers with clear inclusions and exclusions.
• Follow up with clients until job status is confirmed.
• Hand off awarded jobs to the Project Manager and field supervisor.
• Sell services to customers through communication and office visits.
• Interact with B Concrete field employees and customers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in concrete or construction estimating.
• Strong concrete construction knowledge.
• Proficient in computer skills, math, and blueprints (Excel, Word, Outlook, Plan Swift, QuickBooks, etc.).
• Ability to stay focused, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
