About the position

The Estimator II at Banner Solutions is responsible for providing accurate quotes for Contract Hardware Distributor (CHD) and Glass Projects. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as the estimator will perform hardware takeoffs, create comprehensive submittals, and prepare close-out documents. The position emphasizes collaboration with various teams to enhance customer experiences and improve internal processes.

Responsibilities

• Generate accurate and competitive quotes for CHD and Glass Projects.
• Analyze project specifications and requirements to ensure all necessary elements are included in quotes.
• Conduct detailed hardware takeoffs to determine material requirements and associated costs for Glass customers.
• Maintain organized records of takeoff calculations and material specifications.
• Prepare and submit detailed submittals for Glass Projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Compile and finalize close-out documents, ensuring all project requirements are met before completion.
• Work with Outside Sales and Business Development to maximize win rate on quotes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing reps to obtain extended discounting for project quote requests.
• Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and estimating best practices.
• Contribute to the development of internal processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in estimating.

Requirements

• Proven experience in estimating particularly in CHD and Glass Projects.
• Strong understanding of door hardware schedules, hardware takeoffs, and project specifications.
• Proficiency in Salesforce, P21, TOAD, and ProTech.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with e-commerce platforms related to hardware distribution.
• Familiarity with advanced technology for order accuracy.
