About the position

Greenberry Industrial is seeking a Project Estimator to join their team in the Gulf Coast region. This role is crucial for developing and delivering high-quality construction estimates for various industrial projects, including excavation, civil/concrete, structural fabrication, process systems, and more. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple estimates and maintain relationships with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee estimating process including solicitation of bids from vendors and subcontractors; tracking, follow up and reporting on multiple estimates.
  • Review project plans and specifications and coordinate with the team to confirm complete scope.
  • Ensure the timely completion of estimates within tight deadlines and assigned budgets, including timely reviews with senior management.
  • Prepare conceptual budgets based on minimal information.
  • Review general conditions, schedule, scopes of work, hoisting plans, and site logistics.
  • Ensure the flow of project information is maintained and documented.
  • Review and/or manage the review and scoping of specialty contractor bids; analyze alternate means and methods to determine the most economic alternative.
  • Build effective relationships with customers, design team, specialty contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer's expectations.
  • Actively participate in industry, client and community relations to enhance company image.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or similar or equivalent technical training knowledge and experience desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in heavy industrial industry preferred.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Capable with BIM Model Software (Solidworks, Navisworks, Compress, Strumis, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, record-keeping and follow-up skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Supervisory skills desired.
  • Experience in the coordination of multiple activities and tasks in multiple disciplines required.
